Reigning Supreme

The royal rumble is at the end of the month and with all the rumors of the "planned" Mania matches it tends to make this time of year very surprising. With current matches such as CM Punk/HHH, John Cena/Whoever, Undertaker/Lesnar and Batista/Whoever it leaves you questioning who will win the Royal Rumble. This blog will be doing an in depth look into who I think the top contenders are and why I believe they will win. So without further hesitation....

John Cena

John Cena has his rematch with Orton for the WWEWHC at the Rumble but this does not mean he can't enter the Rumble match. Imagine if you will John Cena loses the WWEWHC match and then goes on to win the Rumble. This would mean that he would face whoever the champion is at the "biggest" PPV of the last 30 years and no doubt would make that match the main event. Surely WWE would want their biggest star in the biggest match they could. So it wouldn't matter if Brock beat Orton for the title as Orton could have a rematch clause and this would lead to a triple threat match at Wrestlemania. Just food for thought just incase he doesn't face Wyatt at Mania.

Bray Wyatt

WWE is high on Wyatt and they have said in meetings that they want Wyatt as a big player in the next few years. What better way for Bray to be cemented as a superstar than to face the champion at Wrestlemania. Currently WWE have had Daniel Bryan, their little train who could, fall into Bray's family. The IWC hated this and fans began to boo Bray and Bryan along with the "NO" chants. What if this was WWE's plan all along? What if WWE know that Bryan will be a superstar no matter what and they are now using him to get Bray over?
I could see Bray winning if the final three comes down to Bray, Bryan and Punk. Bryan would eliminate Punk and then himself. Imagine how much heat Bray would get and imagine the react it would get. This would then lead to Bryan vs Punk at Mania.
The reason I suggest that Bray win is that he has been part of WWE's biggest focal point for the last few weeks and it would help to keep Bryan grounded until WWE finally pulls that trigger. Alternatively..........

Daniel Bryan

Using the same situation that Bray, Bryan and Punk are in the ring as the final three. Bryan and Bray could eliminate Punk and then Bryan could refuse to eliminate himself and turning on Bray. He would get a huge push and he would get his WWEWHC match at Mania.
It would make sense for WWE to capitalize on their biggest star at the moment but I don't think they will.
If Bryan did win I could see it leading to Bryan vs Punk at Summerslam next year for the title as I doubt they would take the belt off him. 

Undertaker

With Brock Lesnar possibly getting the WWEWHC wouldn't it be a dream to see Taker vs Brock, Streak vs Title as the main event at Mania? Undertaker usually makes his return around this time and the rumors have been out for months that he will face Lesnar. I know a lot of people don't like the idea of Taker vs Brock for the title as both are part time but its simple. Taker would win and then retire the next night. Its not a popular option but it is an option. 

Batista

WWE have built this mans return so that people are excited. I'm excited. I think it will be interesting. But with his first match back being the rumble match do you really think WWE would book him to lose? It just seems too perfect. WWE would be stupid to make him lose it as he would look weak. Batista and Orton has been spoke about as a match for Mania and I agree it could work. However, its the same situation as Cena vs Orton. ITS BEEN DONE BEFORE. 

Who do I think will win

Until this week I would have told you hands down that the win was going to Batista but with WWE using Del Rio to promote his return and going back and forth on twitter I'm not too sure. We all know that WWE wants to appeal to everyone and with Del Rio being at Mania they would have mexican support and this just seems like it could be an easy program for him.

Currently I'm unsure as to who will win but I can tell you to expect big things from one man. Roman Reigns.

Do not be surprised to see Reigns eliminate both Ambrose and Rollins or for Ambrose to eliminate Rollins and Reigns and for them then to face each other for the US title at Mania. Again, do not be surprised if Reigns beats Kane's elimination record because one things for sure. Roman Reigns is going to be huge.
