The week I fell in love with wrestling all over again

As I sit on my bed just now and I think about the past week in WWE and how good some of the quality of matches has been I realize that all the moaners, all the haters, all the hardcore internet fans need to stop complaining. Over the last six days we have seen a few great moments that highlight just how much WWE's product is picking up.

Example 1 - The Wyatt/Shield match at Elimination Chamber. If you can find more than 3 things about that match that you felt were awful then you need to re-evaluate how much you "love" wrestling. The match was nearly pure gold. The crowd chanted "This is awesome" before anything happened! The whole match showed just what WWE can do when they actually put their minds to it.

Example 2 - Undertakers return. I will be the first to admit I am not the biggest Undertaker fan but even I got chills. The return was predicted. The return was obvious. But my god the return was great. Brock looked great and its clear he has been working out again. Taker looked good considering he hasnt been in a ring for god knows how long now and his ministry goatee was a great throw back to his younger self. I posted a comparison photo this week on twitter and let me tell you Taker only looks (facially) about 5 years older than he did in 1999. The match was set up well and the psychology of Brock looking at Taker and analyzing the situation was good for Brock. He didnt back down and he didn't try run. The chokeslam at the end of the segment looked well done and it was clear that Brock has no issue selling.

Example 3 - The Network debuted. Yep. Possibly the biggest debut of the year so far. Yes I am aware the network has a few glitches but what the hell did you expect when over 120000 people sign up at once? That is a lot even for people like netflix to deal with. The WWE network has a library that boasts more video programming hours than the number of moves on Chris Jericho's list of 1004 holds! Why are you complaining about it?

Example 4 - NXT arRival. The NXT shows are some of the best WWE programs at the moment. They focus more on wrestling instead of entertainment via storyline which is great for those who like that kind of thing. Its also a great way for those of you who wish to learn about possible main roster talents before they hit our screens on Raw or Smackdown. The talent is great. The divas down in NXT are far better than those in the main rosters.

The fact is wwe is picking up its business again because its coming up to mania season. The main question is; How long do they keep it up for? I think the only resonable thing to do is enjoy it while we can and show WWE how much we enjoy the great work that they have done this week in the hope they continue it.
