Eliminating The Obvious

This months WWE PPV is Elimination Chamber and unless you have been living under a rock the most exciting match is clearly The Wyatts vs The Shield. This match has such potential. But there is one painfully obvious fact that hasn't really been mentioned much.

WHY HAVEN'T THE WWE DECIDED TO PUT THIS MATCH IN THE CHAMBER?

Quick History Lesson

Dusty Rhodes came up with the concept of the WAR GAMES match after seeing his then girlfriend in the movie Beyond The Thunderdome. The War Games match first took place in 1987 but didn't show in WCW until 1991. This match quickly became used as a speciality match for the four horsemen. Why am I telling you this? Because I feel WWE should be using this concept in this months Elimination Chamber PPV.

Just Imagine

Im really insitant that the WWE should do this match in the chamber in WAR GAMES rules. The possibilities that could come out of this pairing are amazing. Imagine both teams placed inside the chamber and only releasing one participant at a time at "random." They could even do it where they just put both teams in the chamber to prevent them from leaving without one team emerging victorious. Both teams have actually mentioned Games in promos and if memory serves me right Bray also mentioned War several times. It just seems that this situation is far too perfect for the WWE to miss out on which of course means they undoubtedly will. They could have a lot of big moments and really help to show how sadistic The Family can be. Imagine if you will, Seth Rollins and Luke Harper starting off only for Seth to get locked in a pod with Eric Rowan when he is entered into the match. Harper could stand at the door watching, smiling as Rowan pummels Rollins in the corner. Things like this would help to develop characters as well as bring us some great moments. Who doesn't want to see Reigns spear someone either through a pod or through the cage door?
Another situation we should look at is the Shield split.

A Splintered Shield

Over the last few weeks we have began to see fractures in The Shield. First they disagreed with the possibilities of eliminating each other in the rumble. Then we had Dean Ambrose actually try to eliminate Reigns from the rumble. No doubt just delivering on his promise. This caused Reigns to retaliate later on when he eliminates both Rollins and Ambrose. And of course on the last few RAW's and Smackdowns's we have seen Ambrose give himself the quick tag in so that he can get the pin.
So will we see the Shield split in the chamber? Yeah, I think we do. Id love for Ambrose and Rollins just to walk out on Reigns and leave him to take on all three members of The Wyatt family. Obviously he would look strong if he eliminates any of The Wyatts on his own.
Personally I want to see The Shield split and then have a triple threat match for the US title at Wrestlemania 30. I think at this match Reigns would win after a good 20 minutes match. This would set all three men off on their singles careers which no doubt would intertwine with each other.

The match at Elimination Chamber will more than likely steal the show and this should be no surprise as we have all seen both teams develop over the last 6 months. While the WWE might not put them in the chamber I would hope that they at least add some kind of stipulation to the match. Maybe even a No DQ match.

The results

I think that if the rumours are true and that the WWE plan to have Wyatt vs Cena at Mania, then we are going to see Bray Wyatt win and then attack Cena later on in the night or at least cause a distraction and allow him to be pinned. This would allow Bray to look as strong as possible before he is booked into face "the face" of the company. No I don't mean Bryan. Bray will win this match and then begin a programme with Cena and The Shield will continue to feud.

So what do you think? Do The Wyatts continue to follow the buzzards or do we all believe in the Shield? Let me know your thought son twitter at  @LevellerLOW
